About our Church

Our History

Our Church was founded in 1980 by a group of dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people. Since then, we have grown into a vibrant community that serves our members and our city.

Our Mission

At New Hope Fellowship our mission is to find and follow Jesus to real new hope.  We are building a close fellowship in Ingram and surrounding areas that helps the young and the elderly meet daily challenges.

Our Ministries

Our ministries include Bible studies and outreach programs designed to help our members grow in their faith and serve others in our community.

Our Pastor

Hello,

My name is Herschel Moore II, and I have recently taken up the position of interim pastor at New Hope Fellowship at 405 Main Street & College Street, in Ingram. I would like to introduce myself and my wife, Kim. I am a native of the Texas Hill Country having grown up in Pipe Creek and graduating high school from Bandera in 1985.

After graduating, I joined the Navy as a Seabee where I served for almost 10 years, having to get out due to injuries in 1994. I was saved in 1999 and baptized in Medina Lake, back when it had water in it.

I went on after the military to earn a degree in Psychology with a focus on youth and a minor in Youth Sociology from SWT, the last graduating class under that name in 2003. I am currently in my last semester of graduate school with Liberty University and will prayerfully finish my schooling on December 12 of this year with a master’s degree in Biblical Studies and Religion. I have a license to minister from Comfort Baptist Church, where my wife and I are currently members.

Kim is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and graduated from St. Martin High School in 1985 after which she earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Computer Technology and Accounting. She was baptized at a much earlier age than I was. She has a great many hobbies but her real passion is to teach and lead little ones to Christ. She is a fabulous children’s teacher and really thrives in the company of children and youth.

We have grown to love the church here in Ingram, and we long to see this church prosper and grow to reach out to the community at large and to be a beacon of hope for every person who enters these doors. Kim and I both have a strong desire to share Christ with one and all and we would love to get to meet you and your families. We invite you to come join us for Sunday school at 9:30 am and services at 10:45 am on Sunday morning.

In the great love of Christ,

            Herschel A. Moore II
